Thanks, guys.  It's a joy to ride, particularly now that I've sorted the charging on it.  I hope to soon get the original 276 carb and airbox on it if I can figure out how to get it to not leak (has a concentric on it now).  It's definitely a rider...kinda looks a lot better in the pictures than close up. grins

You shouldn't have too much problem with setting up the 276 carb. I believe the trick in avoiding too much petrol overflow is to get the float level just right. I have this type of carb on my M21 and Star Twin and get on very well with it. There are brand new ones available and might be the way to go. Do keep us updated on this I am to soon fit two of these carbs to the Star and I guess that'll be some fun of somesorts...  eek

I always tell myself that I'm happy with just the one bike...
except I also want a plunger gold flash really  badly!

....and a '69 export Lightning in blue,
my old starfire back again,
.....and maybe even a rigid  B31, Sunbeam S7, Rigid Panther and a Beamish S*z*ki.
