Like "The Beast" here is another non-standard BSA.  Named "Dark Star" and owned by Dieter Haussler, secretary of the German BSAOC.  It was pictured at the 2006 BSA Summercamp in Bergen, Norway ready to depart for southern Hamburg.  It's amazing what you carry to these events.

That Dark Star bike certainly is impressive! Where does the rider sit?? Talking of being amazed at what can be carried on a bike. I have often looked at my tent and full kit wondering how it can all be packed on so tightly. I know my kids think its such fun!

That looks like a single diafragm clutch with a primary belt drive, what's that all about then? And I know you don't spell diathingy like that but it's as close as I could get it to look right!!
