Embroided Golden Flash Patch for your jacket ?

Hi again,

I think that the original Golden Flash tank badge looks great and would be very nice on a letaher jacket or shirt.
So I started to look around for getting hold of an embroided version, but I could not find one !

However, I contacted a firm in Sweden that produces stuff like that and gave them an idea what I was looking for. They came back directly with a proposal based on either minimum 50 or 100 patches.

With everything paid except postage it would end up in in the vicinity of 5 Euro or 7 USD per patch,based on 50 patches proposal from the firm. (this includes an embroided patch with metallic thread and a backside with melting glue, so you can fix it with an iron)

I thought about  black and gold patch, but a maroon/red and gold one would also be nice.

So guys, what do you think, would you buy one if I put in an order ?

Would you prefer the black/gold or red/gold ?

Should it be left winged (for right shoulder) or vice versa ?

Will I have any problems with copyrights ? (who owns the BSA brand today?)

I think it's a great idea, and it looks like you may get enough takers. I wonder if you have reckoned for the handling and postage hassles you may have opened yourself up for. If you are prepared to do all that and the postage is on the order of 8 SEK (what I saw for a first class international letter from Sweden under 20g), and they are, in fact, US $7, then I'm in for one. I'm sorry if this all seems too conditional. I suppose by the time you decide whether or not you want to go through with this you will have worked out the details and let us know.

Hi guys,
I have now placed the order, for 50 pcs Black/Gold and 50 pcs Maroon/gold !
They also sent me a picture of the first "prototype" badges for my approval. I think that they will be great, with the modifications I suggested.

The badges wil arrive in Sweden in a couple of weeks !

Hey Ho,
I have now approved the prototypes, and is waiting for the patch-batch (sic!) to arrive to the garage here in Stockholm, in a couple of week's time, they say.

I hope that I won't get disapointed, if so, you will definately recognise in the traffic, I will be the guy  wearing a black leather jacket with 100 Golden Flash patches.

the dimensions of the patches are ;

Max Width : 110 mm
Max Height : 60 mm

This would also mean that the diameter of the circle should be 60 mm.

The patch-batch has arrived and I have conducted the tradiditional quality check of incoming goods, and they passed without a single failure. The only difference to the original spec was that they do not have the glued backside, meaning that we  have to stitch them to our garments with needle and thread, or as I do, use double-sticky tape (tape with glue on both sides).

I thought I should pass on the discount I got, menaing that the price will be 40 SEK or 4€ or 6$, excluding postage.

For practical reasons ,and since we all seem to be rather advanced Internet users, I would like to suggest that payments are made through Pay Pal, preferably in Swedish Kronor.

I will soon get back to you all with details on how this mechanism will be set up, I will also investigate the postage price, so I can include it in the price.

finally I have come around to set up the delivery and payment process, this is how it works ;

1. You send me an email, to anders.hessling@netresult.se, stating how many patches you want and the colours (red or black) and your name, delivery address and a valid email address.

2. I then send you a confirmation email, with total price and a link to Pay Pal, where you can make your payment.

3. When your payment is confirmed by me, I will mail the patches to you , in an ordinary enevelope.

The price per patch including shipping (max 10 badges) will be ;

50 SEK for shipping to Sweden

5,5 Euro for shipping within Europe

7,5 USD for shipping outside Europe

Hi, its me again , sorry for pestering you about the patches, it might sound that I'm dong this for a living, but unfortunatley..

I just want to remind the ones that are intersted to drop the above mentioned mail to me, so you get your patches  .
The orders are pouring in, well, trickling in, but that was what I expected, it is quite a narrow market for Golden Flash patches, but at least it is not directly dependent on the financial market.
For the ones that have sent in orders, I will post the badges tomorrow or on Monday
