Doesn't look like a std BSA item, much later.
Cheers

Not definitely sure what the A is for but the SSM-5007/00 1000 magnetic speedometer was listed for the late 1970 to 1976 Triumph Bonneville.

The ratio is way out from that which is required.
Your magnetic speedo is 1000 revs per mile and you need one calibrated to 1450 revs per mile.

Don't bother it's the wrong one for any pre-unit bsa. It should be a chronometric.

A guy in NZ does them for us kiwis but that may not be any use to you, he lives in Wellington, Andrew Rackstraw, typically 150nzd for a refurb of the case, new bezel / glass / needle / fixing the "insides" /ratio changes, if needed. Finding parts like needles is getting harder and more expensive for them though.

He's not on the net as far as I know.

Yep it seems to cost half what you would pay in the UK? Were lucky to have anyone doing it here but then ive heard kiwis have more vintage vehicles per person than almost any other country
