Ahhh, just removed my tail light lens to find out why the rear light does not work and found the answer instantly: No bulb.

Would the following be the correct bulb?

Lucas LLB1031 Bay15d SBC brake / tail light bulb

6V 15W/3W

offset pins?

Ahhh, Wilco again.
If I knew that I’d nip round and ask for it back.

Presumably the previous owner reassembled the number plate unit during the (unfinished) restoration, intending to put a bulb in at a later date.

And presumably, you don’t know the answer to the question either.

Hiya,
Should be Lucas No 384 (or equivalent) 6Volt 18/6 watts
Stop and Tail, it will have offset pins in a bayonet fitting!

Hi boys

Thank you for your replies again.

When surfing for the bulbs situation, for our bikes, I came across the excellent Lucas website which even gives cross reference to other manufacturers products.
See: http://www.lucaselectrical.co.uk/lighting.php

I found for example that the bulb, LLB384, our rear stop and tail bulb, is actualy 6V 21/5W

AES have them on EBay, buy it now, for £1.49 each. Not quite the deal that you got LJ, but good enough.  They describe it as having parallel pins, but that cannot be right in that that bulb should have offset pins.

Of course, many will know about this website but, for those who do not..... I hope that this is worth bookmarking for you.
