Braided Stainless Steel Petrol Pipes
«

I did type in, Braided Stainless Steel Petrol Pipes, in the search window without success so I feel that I can ask the question without raising a 'Oh no, not again' groan. Can I?
My petrol pipes need replacing and I thought that Braided Stainless Steel Petrol Pipes might give a good cosmetic display. But, on the practical side, does anybody have any experience with them? Are they any good and is there one supplier that provides the best product?

Well it will depend upon what the compound is.
A lot of what is sold for fuel line ha a high latex content and is unsuitable for use with modern fuels.
this is why so many of you have trouble with the fuel lines splitting.
I use stainless braided tefflon tubing on the M20 & A 10 oil lines and it works a treat.
Even better I get a slip joint fitted to one end which makes them much easier to undo.
On the wedding cars I use the same tube for fuel lines and some have been in for better than 10 years with no problems.
If you go this route with your A 10 you really need to take the bike with you and have them fitted to the bike as braided tube will sit substantially differently from straight rubber tubing.
Also make sure that they fir a good heavy collar on the ends of the braiding or it will be a lot of punctured fingers when you are reaching do to turn on the reserve.
