I am collecting parts to convert my Tribsa back into an a10 . The engine I bought turned out to be  late 63 and I was wondering if anyone had a 63 frame which I could buy ? Graham

No, the ID-lists show the Golden Flash (DA10), Super Rocket, Spitfire Scrambler and RGS (all DA10R) for 1963, and even a Golden Flash Alternator (DA10A).

G'day Graham,
I was in the same situation, had a '63 engine. Took me about a year or more, but found a '63 frame
in the US. They're pretty thin on the ground, but there out there! Keep looking.
Your sign in name Enfield 49, I had a 47 J Enfield, have you got a J or a G.

regards, Cus

Oddly enough I dont own a 49 enfield  many other years though , the BSA is a bit unusual for me . Is there any way I could tell the model A10? It is not the alternator model . Graham

Graham,
The engine is easily identified by the number.
If it has an "R", it is Rocket and should have an alloy head.
No "R", it is a Flash with an iron head.
However, after 40+ years, you could have anything.

Hi Enfield
Can you post a picture of the engine and list the numbers that will help with any identifying questions.  Jeff

Photos are beyond my primitive grasp of technology but I just looked at the number it is DA10R 9306 other stamps include HHC It has a manual K2F fitted and a rev counter drive from the inner timing cover. The head was missing , it had been removed to and sold as scrap aluminium. Graham
