Hi folks
Can anyone in UK recommend an insurance that will cover two classics on one policy

My current insurance (ebike) is due for renewal at £74 full comp, I tried to get a second bike on it but no, wont do two classics on one policy - why?
Did get one quote by telephone £233 for two classics at that it's cheaper to have them on separate policies.

Also got to factor in the maximum age thing, ebike is 90 which is OK as by the time I get to 90 I'll have forgotten where I left them

Bill I think this is a general insurance decision, that they do not want to insure numbers of vehicles and I think it comes from parents insuring bikes and cars for their kids and people insuring bikes and cars for friends.

Looks like two separate policies then, if I can get them for around £74 for renewal of one and maybe and £80 - £85 ish  for the other then that's not to bad by todays prices

Peter James (http://www.peterjamesinsurance.co.uk/index.aspx) has happily covered 2 bikes at once and AFAIK has no problem with more. Mine cost me £73.14 6 months ago for the A10 and an NSU Quickly. Fully comp, with agreed value and full UK and mainland Europe breakdown cover.

They are a knowledgeable small broker and very helpful. I used to be with Carole Nash then Footman James but both have now sold out to the big boys and have lost the personal touch - although FJ are cheaper than Peter James for my Hinckley Tiger.

I've just reinsured 2 x bikes fully comp. (you can only ride one at a time though!). I shopped a little with the bigger names in classic insurance (already mentioned in this thread) and then haggled and the quote went from £168 to £125.

I was with Footman James for a year but then the second year the premium went up substantially.

I'll give Peter James a look though

Just been on P James web site, so easy two bikes insured for a fiver more than one AND includes occasional commute, so I will be covered if using a bike for occasional work.
Will need to get the camera out for that agreed value though, might try my MOT garage for value confirmation also

I have 2 bikes:

A Francis Barnett Falcon 67, 197cc
and a Golden Flash 650cc

with Footman James for around £105

There was no addition for adding the Golden Flash after 2 years with the Falcon

Down here is a lot easier, I have both A's (club plates) the Rhonda Whore, my Ford ute and the wife's Magna all on the one policy all fully comped for $1200AU a year with Shannons.

Hi Bill Got quote from Footman James today for my A10 Rocket and Royal Enfield Constalation for £173  but reduced to £123 if member of one or the other owners club this was up against a renewal  quote from Carol Nash of £179. Hope this may be of some help.

I just swapped from Ebike to Carol Nash.
Ebike wanted £130 for my BMWR100R and wouldn't/couldn't add the A7 to make a 2 bike policy. The A7 was £65 for the year last June.
I got a Carol Nash 2 bike policy for £135 all in.

I'm quite pleased with this and am glad to be away from Ebike who seemed very difficult to deal with having no phone contacts.
