63 rocket

Nearly finished the '63,
As you can see I've recycled some of the 70's parts that were on the bike in its last life
as a chopper, seat, back guard & tail light. The guard was chopped off square, so I tappered
it to look like the front. I probably won't keep it like this, but was having trouble getting a rear
guard so thought I'd do something a bit different & get the bike on the road, then take my
time to find some good guards I can chrome once the fire in my wallet goes out!
Have a headlight & speedo on the way, so with some new tyres, hook up the wiring
I should be in business.

Looks great Cus, quite tastefully modified. The pipes would sound better with the slash cut facing outwards. No need to rush to find original type parts.

I like the look of her as she is. The seat looks great and fits well with the rear guard which you have made to match the front.
Bet she sounds awesome with straight pipes - are there any baffles in the end section?
We would not get away with using them over here!

i like the look to,the back mudguard look with the sparto light,i'm in the process of building a tribsa cafe racer and fitted one of those back lights,the problem was that the lense points downwards,so i had to alter the base so it was horizontal,and it being a triumph engine i'm contemplating fitting some tt pipes,but worried about the noise of the straight through pipes,

I really like that!
The seat is a better fit than most of the "standard ones" you can buy now as well.
The bike looks purposeful and useable.

Just joining the crowd of members who like the look of your rear mudguard. Great work! I like Iain's word, "purposeful", to which I add "compact" and "well integrated". If I had a question, it would be with regard to how far back it extends when looking square-on from the side. If you happen to run through water, is it far enough back to avoid the tire throwing water back onto the bike. In point of fact, I don't have enough experience running in water to know if it is, indeed, an issue.

I like the look of no struts/stays. Might need to keep the weight of pillions to a minimum.

Thanks everyone for the comments,
i agree, I don't think I'll be putting anyone on the back besides my son,
it's surprisingly solid though, but wouldn't like to stress it too much.
With regards to the pipes, I mighten get away with it yet, I'll register
it with mufflers, then change it back & then see what Mr. Plod thinks!
it's not nearly as loud as a Harley though.
The water thing will be trial & error, will have to wait & see.
The seat was in such good nick, & was professionaly made by
someone in the states, it was too good not to put on,
