can any one tell me is this the  original ammeter that would have been fitted to a 1953 A10
Its a spare ammeter I have for my bsa wm20 .

Hi Richard... at long last I've managed to take a picture of mine, dunno if it is original or not but looks as if its been in use for a long time. I think your one looks better though.

Thanks Trev LJ  now i know what to look for thats a big help. I managed to get some original levers with dip switch and horn buton attached
so im happy about that . still looking for that original headlamp with underslung light  should be easy i dont think.

I do believe... after a memory jog, that the ammeters have a date stamp on the back side. A month and year within a circle if I remember clearly.

Some more useless information for you.

The ammeter you need is a CZU27, part no. 36084F

CZ = Centre Zero
U   = Universal mount
27  = Round 1 5/8" diameter, 8 amp.
