Been thinking about this one for a while, seems logical to split off the clutch and gear stuff.

Good idea, makes for a clear arrangement. What about an additional "Engine" section?

"Engine" is put on the list (for next time divine intervention inspires me to dissect the forum...)
If done, the current tech topics will turn into the "TTDNFE" (things that do not fit elsewhere) board (frame, wheels, suspension, brakes etc).

Yeah, I've been checking the forum today in the afternoon and was very surprised to find 6 pages full of "unread topics", with all the "MOVED" notifications from the threads you have been shoveling around.  

Must have been an awful lot of work, so a great big

Thanks for the feedback. Sorry for the mass mail, will not post any redirects at next reshuffling (...but the involuntary stress-test of the mail server showed all is fine, both the forum setup and the hosting).
