No Jim but I did buy some "Dry Tank" from Halfords -  I think it was around a fiver, bought it to cure my lawnmower as it had swallowed an eggcup full of water some time back and has hicked ever since.

Did'nt cure the hickups so I assumed it was a remove the carb job, however it doesn't seem to have much of a carb, looks like the jet just sticks down into the tank and up into the inlet tract.
I took the plug out, it was caked in soot - where have I seen that before?

Anyway while pootering around the WWW I came on this from Burlen (The Amal Company)
http://www.amalcarb.co.uk/TechnicalDetail.aspx?id=10

Given a balanced read it seems there's as many pros as cons, fuel lines will need replaced this is no bad thing as I'm pretty sure they would be better replaced on a regular basis, how many of us do that?

problem with this is that running another product like valvemaster, plus ethomix and a drop of methanol where do we end up. surely its the petrol companies that should be doing something about it .

regarding the fuel pipe part, Yamaha service agents are supposed to change them when customers bikes are 6 years or older. customers wont be very happy having to pay extra when they allready think service charges are too high  my local Yamaha dealer wont work on bikes over 6 years old because of the extra cost ..
