Havent really had a chance to get some nice pics due to poor weather around here of late, and struggling to find the right settings on the camera that doesn't make the green look like brown!

Thanks guys. Must say, that green is an akward color to come out right in photos... I have alot of photos with the two bikes together, but the green is just not coming out right in the pics  Would really love to get a picture of : Looking into the tank of one, and seeing the reflection of the other. I think it was talked about here(?), and someone said you have to hide yourself behind the tank badge? Unfortunately these bikes dont have the largest of badges, and to get the reflection of the other bike in the image, I always end up in the shot! Any help with that would be great :) |

A couple of questions:
Must they be ridden Roman style?
Will you feel awkward on this forum 3 years from now with the word "Newbie" in your member name? (Really, considering those bikes it seems you're hardly a newbie. Keep the pictures coming, I hear envy doesn't have to be deadly.)

hahahaha, Thanks Richard. The Blue one is the one my old man restored a few years back (5-6?), it is registered, and usually gets ridden once a month or so, and has for it's entire restored life. The green one is the one I have just completed, and sorry to say, it is NOT registered, and has not been fired... Yes it has all the correct gear inside, and if you topped it up with oil and gas, it would fire no problems at all, and ride with no hesitation. At the time of starting this restoration, we were planning to register and ride this bike aswell, but upon completion, figured it may be nice to keep one as "Just a show piece" (No burnt pipes, no wear etc.) Would still be nice to get the reg. plates for it though. The Blue one has "53 BSA", and I have looked at "BSA 53" for the green one As for the name, I am still VERY much a "Newbie" to the history etc. of the bikes, and overall knowledge of what parts suit what bikes etc. The old man is definately the brains there. My work, and the only thing I can take credit for is the Physical "Building" of the bikes. I am a mechanically minded person, and have no dramas building, and fabricating etc. Wont go putting up any more pics of this bike (Sure people get sick of seeing the same bike over and over), But do have another thread going with the build of two A7's ('47 & '49). If your interested to see how I go about building them, Feel free to follow that topic as I will try to constantly update with pictures. |

One thing about the pictures, you're wrong about folks here getting sick of seeing the same bike over and over again, especially if it looks like your's. Also, there is a move afoot to gather a photo library of all the little bits and pieces that make up our bikes, but are so often ignored while looking for the perfect angle from which to capture the tri-corner timing cover.

Well here you go... New pic in "Profile Pic", and also my failed attempt at capturing a reflection... I think it would be a great picture if I knew how to do it properly!

The winged ones with "Golden Flash" lettering next to the lightning, or had there been special ones saying "Super Flash" (if so, hen's teeth nowadays probably)? Still, great bikes you got there!
