few weeks ago i said i would place some pics of the restoration, got some help to make the pics smaller with help from the oll lady ,if this works good i want to place regulary some pics ,these are all ready old ones.so i can inform you off the state of rebuilding the bike.This bike was really a mess, the engine and trans. are ready now i'm buzzy with the rest off the bike, it needs a lot of work ,rotten fenders ,bad wheels,magneto out off order,damaged dynamo,gastank dented,etc etc (i"m sure i can ride it over approx 30 years hahaha) greetz holland

Hello guys, do anyone needs some spare parts (hahaha) this came out of the a10 when i dismanteld it.The rivets of the dynamochainwheel are gone so you brazed it, the chain was broken so you brazed it.The trans. housing fel apart so you weld it. Main bearing dusn.t fit anymore ,bearinghouse is 2/10 mm bigger than the bearing.This bike was a youguslavian bike wich was imported to holland (before the war overthere) where i bought it ,needed also an other crankshaft and conrods , had bearings from an opel, but nothing but respect for that former owner ,who hadden't a brit bike shop overthere for normal spareparts  and made everything himself so he can stay on the road on the bsa.If you can see the pics you can imagine how the rest of the bike is, wich i'm restoring now,sometimes i regret it that i started whit the bike, but i'm determind to complete and ride the bike,even takes it a few years! every bsa deservice to bring back alive. So anyone needs spareparts??   I'll keep it for the bin. gr alex

G'day Holland,
                   your doing a great job saving another A10.
I think I saw a g/box case on Ebay not long ago, bits are out there. My dynamo sprocket was like that too. Don't think that chain would have lasted long.

hello muskrat, 10years ago i bought a good gearbox and made from 2  one ,its already for 3 years now incl engine did a complete overhaul, cil.head for leadfree gas, fin repair, guides, valves  etc  engine all new bushes,bearings other crankshaft just the whole internals needed a overhaul,now i've got the time for reassemble the bike, have allso an sidecar for it,not original bsa but steib frame and (what i'm was told) an old gastank from an world war 2 air bomber (long distance tank) Due to steel shortis after the war they used the tanks for the sidecar.It looks like an bomb wich hung under the wings off the plane.They made a beautiful hole in it for to sit in. so when this is allready i think i have a long beard then.the picture is now the aqtual state of the bike. gr alex
