Lucky sod.I like the first one,I like the second one, reminds me of the film the great escape, when steve Mc Queen is driving his BSA/Triumph(German version)? across the rolling alpine grass fields looking for a way into switzerland. So if you see a line of wooden X struts on the horizon.....

NOPE!!! I've seen the film and how that ended for Steve McQueen.  lol
Must've been a Triumph Trophy (disguised as BMW) he was using I think.

However, thanks for the nice comment.

Cheers, Markus

The rider for the jump was Bud Ekins. He owned the local Triumph dealer in Van Nuys, CA, USA, about 3.5 miles from where I grew up. As far as I know, BSA may have been there also, but at 18 years old, I really liked the Bonnevilles, but couldn't afford one. It was probabaly hanging out at that shop, drooling, that has influeced me, to this day, in British bikes.

It was indeed. Both he and McQueen were excellent riders and both rode Triumphs in the USA team for the 1964 ISDT in East Germany.
