RGS buyer'guide

Hello to all member.
I have a problem to decide to buy RGS.For this one is not a real RGS,it is an a7 frame(not sure for the year),the engine code is DA10R-XXXXX and ordered from England,the other part was combined piece by piece.So could anybody give me an idea or comment to decide to buy this one.(Not see the bike yet,just only a picture).***Still loving and enjoy to riding A10 plunger.Thanks for all.

Hi It is still a real nice bike.  I would buy it if the price is right.  it looks as if it needs some finishing.  Price considering I would go for it.  Keep us posted.  Good luck.  Jeff

interesting bike, looks like an altenator chaincase, could be an ex police engine.

In the photos there are some parts missing, eg speedometer and tachometer. The timing cover does not look like it has the tacho drive fitted. Does the seller say if the missing parts are included? If not, I would certainly not want to pay more than you would for a complete, roadworthy Super Rocket.

Hi,I knew from the seller that...
   -The crankcase was broken but already repair.
   -It is used the CDI system instead of magneto.
   -The external part is ok.
So what is the suitable price for you?( Still not see the bike yet),I really would like to buy.Thanks for all.

It's very difficult to set a price, beeing 10.000kms away!. My opinions, it can be a nice and roadworthy bike in the end, but with the non-original stuff, it will never be a high-end object of value, so be careful to get it at the right price, and look upon as a potential nice looking and driveable "replica". If you have access to english motorcycle magazines, look for similar bikes, then deduct for whatever shortcomings on the bike you look at, then try to get a good price in the context of pricing of the country you live. Maybe do not let yourself be too eager to secure the deal even if there are many other interested buyers bidding, if you loose this one there will sooner or later come a day were you again stand in front of some bike you really want. Just some toughts. Tell us how it went, and have a fine day.

  At first I thought the price was a bit steep.  How does it run.  It looks as if it was finished since the first post.But you need to consider what it would cost you to build one like that.  You also need to make sure the bike is not stolen.  How hard is it to get a registration where you live?  Here are a couple of comparasions from the web.

       If you google RGS replica for sale there seems to be some out there.  And price comparible it seems OK.  I would be sure about the title and A little consrned adout the case repair.  But DA10 R cars are easy to get.  Good Luck Jeff

Legal papers is important, don't know how it runs but is sure looks very, very nice.

Thanks for all reply.I'm decided to build it by my self but not sure for the one that I will build are RGS,
NORBSA or standard bike.Because of I had ordered a A10RR engine.After this I will have a lot of question
to ask you all.
