Thanks for your concern. Most of the relevant names are probably already in the forum, but scattered everywhere inside posts, basically I see this as a matter of getting them all available in one place. The list does not imply anyone being perfect, mistakes will be made, so how returns, complaints or refunds are dealt with is important as well.

Hi All

I had problems a while ago when fitting goldie silencers and pipes to my super rocket -  possibly this is the discussion you remember Richard.
I don't know how to insert a link to the discussion but it started on 30-12-09 and was titled "super rocket exhaust."
I think that Administer (sorry to be so formal but there is no other name showing for you) picked this one up and was going to create a new area for supplier experiences. I noticed a more recent post saying that a new board has been set up which replaces chat 2 but I cannot seem to find it.
I think it would be a great idea to collect all our experiences good and bad into one area on the forum and save us all time and money by highlighting the poor suppliers and manufacturers so that we can avoid them in the future.

thanks a10gf, I forgot to add the phone number. When I asked Roger for his email address he told me he'd prefer a phone call, as he's not really into computers. So I think calling him is the better option.
I didn't know the article, a Goldie for 6000-9000 pounds and a Manx for 18000, just 12 years ago? Sounds like a good investment...

Totally agree with A10Boy re T & L in Elstow Beds. Good on all engineering issues, from vintage and classic to Santa Pod dragsters, also have state of the art dynamic crank balancing kit. I've had cranks done, rods rectified etc and am currently using them for resleeving of various barrels. Great to deal with.

You asked about dave lindsley for mags A10Boy - got one fully reconditioned for a friend earlier this year by him. Took about 10 weeks turn-round, but the result was as new in every detail. But you pay for what you get. I'd recommend SRM for mags too, having had a K2FC redone by them in 2008 - bit quicker maybe, but similar sort of prices. They also do exchange armatures off the shelf, which most people don't.

If we're recommending people here, I'd also put in a word for www,hitchcocksmotorcycles.com the RE people for AMAL stuff - excellent service and web site.
