I am looking for a side stand for a 1955 Golden Flash - would anybody have one lying sad and unloved a shed ?? smiley4

I believe it is the lug that bears the hensteethian characteristics, as might be surmised from this auction:

I bought the lug assembly with spring etc from C@D's, I cant remember exactly what it cost but it wasnt too expensive. Might be worth giving them a call.

Yes there is a serviceable lug on the frame and in fact there is a side stand fitted at the moment but it seems rather short and looks like its been sawn off and a small plate welded to the end, it also looks like it has been bent to give a steeper angle. The bike sits fairly upright when leaning on the stand and would probably fall over if nudged! I would like to fit a much longer type stand which lets the bike lean over more - a bit like the commando stand or the later BSA's like the Lightning etc.

I got mine from C&D too. It's a quality piece of kit.
Unfortunately the stands on my bike are the bits taht see the most use.
