I was going thru organizing my links from A10 and WLA harley links when I came accross this one by the one and only Erling. Yes, the administrator of this site. I had it bookmarked from way back. I have visited it in the past. Then I stubbled upon this board while doing a search and joined up and jumped in the talk. I went back and found the site and noticed the audioworld.net and realized...Dee Dee Dee....same guy. They I thought hey, maybe there is someone out there as pathetic as I,,,,so here is the Norway A-10 link....or as alot of you already know the homepage of the board!

Yes good site! I found it to be very helpful when I first came into classic motorcycling. Just had to have another look around.... I notice E that you have a 276 Amal, is that fitted on your A10?? I have that carb on my M21 perhaps the monoblock wasn't around at the time of your A10 and my 1948 M21. Liked the polished internals!  smile

Yes, 276 is correct pre 54, I think.

I just love the design & appearance of the 276's, all the nice parts in there  smile , would not like to change for a 376.  My 276 is perfect, but unfortunately 15\16, should be 1 1\16, so I do not have full power at full throttle, probably ok regarding riding too fast or wearing out the engine.

Also see my posts in http://www.audioworld.net/BSA/forum/index.php?topic=90.0

Damn! Wish I'd had known you were looking for a replacement float! saw quite a few of them last Sunday at the Nottingham & Newark autojumble up north! What I found strange is that there were a couple or maybe three dealers selling a box full of float chambers only and no carbs?!?! Wonder why?

It was a good day out, I came home happy with an A10/7 fully restored enclosed chaincase! £140. Just got to fit it now, but I think I may well wait untill I get a 20 tooth gearbox sprocket, think it could do with an up gearing.

Thanks for thinking about the float, but I really need a complete large dia 276 carb, either new (hope for more lucky with quality this time, or a pristine used one, if that exists). I realize this forum may be a good place for members overseas to ask -small- favors from uk members, ie finding parts & stuff at meetings or jumbles, if possible or willing, does not hurt to ask, 'suppose.

Regards
