Can anyone tell me where I can obtain the rubber hose/connector between the carb and the airfilter box on a 1949 A7 longstroke rigid . I have just sent for one from lightning spares but its a rightangle type where as mine is a straight unit .Thanks

Fido... I'm sure I pointed you to someone who sells them and even sent you a picture of what I had seen on some dealers stall. I'll look out again through my pics tomorrow and personal messages. It must have been a year ago now but I do remember seeing them.

I believe the dealer is a woman who's hubby had recently died... (I may be very wrong here) She sells alot of Triumph parts, she's seen at most shows and autojumbles etc

Edit...

Looking at my own website... Here is a picture of the rubber boot. Seems that there was not one on the bike when I purchased it last October, so I had bought this Winter/Spring time.

I don't remember that, LJ, although my memory is hopeless. I looked back through my PM inbox and the only ones about air filter rubbers were from Erling, a couple of years ago. I never get to autojumbles in England in any case.

I wonder if the woman LJ is referring to is the same I have known (calm down boys) as "rectoryantiques17" on eBay. She may have changed her store name since then.

He was very busy so did not get any details from him but will try next time (may) buy the way the rubber fits a treat cost me a tenner. Bantam John has them nos but 9 months ago he wanted £40 each not for me me!
